Tower Knowe

The Tower Knowe visitor centre is conveniently located near the entrance of Kielder Water & Forest Park, especially for those coming from the south, like Newcastle. It’s also close to Kielder Waterside, just a ten-minute drive away.

Visitors can explore the history of Kielder through an interactive exhibition at the centre. Afterward, you can enjoy some refreshments at the cafe, which offers delicious cakes and tasty snacks. All this can be enjoyed with a fantastic view to admire while taking a break.

Additionally, the gift and homeware store at Tower Knowe offers a variety of gorgeous items for purchase. Visitors can also buy their fishing permits here, making it a one-stop destination for both learning and leisure.

The Tower Knowe visitor centre is seasonal and is open from April until the end of October.
